Solomon Passy

Solomon Passy received his Doctorate in Mathematical logic and Computer sciences from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski.”  From 1984 to 1994 he was Assistant Professor in Mathematical Logic and Computer sciences at Sofia University and the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. In 1989-1990, he participated in the National Round Table for transition to democracy. Subsequently, he became a member of the Coordination Council of the Union of Democratic Forces (UDF) and an MP in the Seventh Grand National Assembly. He is one of the authors of the new Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria and author of the tender for the Bulgarian membership in NATO.

In 1991, Solomon Passy became President and Founder of the Atlantic Club in Bulgaria.  He was a member of parliament in the 39^th National Assembly, and since 2005, he has been a member of the parliamentary group of NMSP.  From 2001 to 2005, Solomon Passy was Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria.  Currently, he is the chairman of the foreign policy commission and a chief member of the Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
